St John’s Service Time Change – At the Voter’s Assembly on July 26th, it was voted in to return our Sunday Worship time to 10:00am as it had been a few years ago. This time change will take effect on September 6th (Labor Day Weekend). Please take note of this time change.
Orphan Grain Train Presentation – A brief presentation will be given by Theresa Rake at both our churches on August 9 following worships. Afterwards Trinity will serve coffee and snacks, St John’s a potluck.
School Supplies In-Gathering: Orphan Grain Train of Westfield is in need of school supplies for the upcoming school year (pens, pencils, folders, notebooks, etc.) From now until the end of August, please consider contributing to our congregational in-gathering of these needed items, for children here in our country and around the world. Your donations may be placed in the OGT containers located in the narthex at both St. John’s and Trinity. (Your donations of clothing and household items are also always appreciated). Confirmation Fall Classes – Joint Classes will be held on Wednesdays beginning September 16 from 4:30-6:00pm at St John’s. Parents or guardians should plan to attend this first informational session of goals and expectations.
Orphan Grain Train
Orphan Grain Train provides clothing, furniture, medical supplies, and household items to needy persons, both here in our country and around the world. Please bring your new or gently used clothing or other items to church, and Pastor will see that they are delivered. (There is a list of needed and acceptable items posted on the bulletin boards in the narthex of both our churches). The Westfield, WI branch of Orphan Grain Train, located at 486 N. Main St. (next to the high school), is always in need of volunteers to help sort and pack. Volunteer hours are Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. All are invited to come for a tour and see what it’s all about. “What you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.”
