There is no better or more joyful way to praise God, or to tell the world the Good News about Him, than to sing “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” (Eph. 5:19). So that’s our plan for Advent Midweek worship this year. We’ll sing the good old Christmas hymns and songs of the season that we all love, and our worship will focus on three songs that are sung with great joy in the blessed Christmas story. Our first service on December 4 will feature “The Song of Elizabeth,” from Luke 1:39-45. In our second service on December 11 we’ll talk about “Mary’s Song,” from Luke 1:46-55. In our third and final service on December 18, we’ll hear about “Simeon’s Song,” from Luke 2:25-35. Worship times: 10:30 am at Trinity, Packwaukee, with a light meal to follow. 6:30 pm at St. John, Oxford, with cookies, coffee, hot chocolate, and fellowship at 6:00 pm, prior to the worship service. Please join us for this joyful time of singing and worship, as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the coming of our Savior. Please also take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus with your family, friends, and neighbors. May our joyful songs bring hearts and souls to our Savior this Christmas season.
