“The Hand of the Lord”
Lent Midweek 2025
In our Lent Midweek worship this year, we’ll follow the wonderful hands of Jesus in the Gospel stories, as they touch and heal and bless and console God’s people, and we’ll be reminded that His hands are holding us still.
We’ll be worshipping together as a dual parish this year, alternating our services from church to church, week to week. All services will begin at 11:30 am, with a Lent Luncheon to follow. Please sign up on the volunteer sheets if you’d like to help prepare or serve our lunches. And please invite a friend or neighbor to come with you.

Pastor’s Lent Bible Reading Challenge
Pastor Sheppard is challenging all members of our churches to read the Gospel of John during the season of Lent. If you haven’t read this Gospel for a while, you’ll find it a joy and a blessing in your walk through Lent, and in readying your heart to celebrate Easter. Read it alone, or read it together with your spouse or your children. There are also book marks available to monitor your progress by chapters. Once you’ve finished, feel free to put your name on the “I did it!” sheet in the back of the church.
“God Connects” Membership Class
“God Connects” is 12-session class is designed for those who are interested in learning or reviewing the foundations of the Christian faith. Attendance at the class may lead to membership in our church, but there are no obligations. The plan is to spend the Lent and Easter season sending out invitations and promoting the class and beginning the class in early May. Is there someone at work, in your neighborhood, or at your dinner table who is not a member of a Christian church and is weighing heavily on your heart? Invite (or refer) a friend to our adult membership class! Feel free to talk to pastor if you would like ideas on how to craft your invitation. Watch an introductory video at www.lhm.org/GodConnects.
